Recruiting a headteacher is the most important decision governors will make. The appointment is crucial to the success of the school. The cost of making the wrong decision is damage to the reputation of school, unhappy parents and staff and the potential costs of disciplinary hearings. In addition, there will be the need to recruit again.
I am very experienced in supporting governors through the process. I will work with governors over many months supporting them with advice, guidance and resources to make the right decision. Rushing is not an option.
